I love this one alot alot. I dream about that cheeseburger too, then I go eat that cheeseburger. – There was a spicy lamb burger place over on lafayette in fort greene that I use to go to years ago, and I just went recently and I asked for a lamb burger and they said we never had a lamb burger on the menu and I said yes you did this is cafe lafayette and it is the lafayette burger and they said that is cow not lamb and I said ok give it to me, and it was not the lamb burger but some crappy burger with the same goat cheese and onions on it. Dammit I miss that spicy lamb burger. – Great comic, really one of my favorites.
I love your fantasy of living in the woods. I could totally relate to the girl making her way in the wilds, feeling her deepest natural self, blending in with the animals, and then returning to her little town to find joy in cute friends that admire her and treat her to a fat burger. The drawings of the roots and rocks, bushes and animals are wonderful. I loved the drawing of her walking into town surrounded by friends, with her ripped-from-adventures-in-the-woods clothes and the bottle on the road. The green and clay colors in the woods drawings are perfect. It made me sad that there were not more panels. Your work is lovely.
Gabrielle, you just get better and better!
Thanks Neil! That’s the nicest compliment. Even if I am the worst, it’s still promising.

A good burger is always iconic. And delicious.
