I have a bad habit of asking people I barely know stuff about their parents. More than once, they’ve replied with “my folks are dead”. Cue in uncomfortable silence. The worst is when I forget the person’s face (another bad habit) and the next time I see them at a party, I do the same thing all over again.
You’re a brave woman! I completely avoid embarrassing social situations by never leaving my apartment. And I guess it’s an in-joke but I must ask: what is so wrong about hugging Eugene Mirman? Dude be sweaty? Dude be angry? What gives?
You could easily be part of the cast of that Blake Edward’s movie « The Party »…
There’s this brilliant dialogue:
Guest: Who do you think you are?
Peter Sellers: In India, we don’t think who we are. We know who we are.
(…)
One can wonder what’s gonna happen if you meet some people during New Year’s Eve…
Cheers,
st
P.S.: I like the composition of the two first panels.

Does juggling on the school bus count?
True to life and beautifully drawn!
This is funny, but sorta sad. It’s strange how living in one’s own head can sometimes make you feel out of sync with the outside world. Nice work.
Always courageous, and you always remind us that it’s never as bad as we think it is, once we say it out loud.

Nice rendering of Eugene—are you also a follower of the alt comedy scene? I enjoyed reading, as always.
