July Diary, Day one
July 1, 2012
Hello, This is the first day of my 2012 July Diary. I did a comic every day in July last year, and now I’m doing it again. If you want to read last year’s, the minicomic is available here from Uncivilized Books. You can also get it at a discount if you preorder my new book, The Voyeurs. July Diary 2011 got a very nice review from The Comics Journal’s Robert Clough that you can read here.
To sort of paraphrase Mark Twain: I didn’t have time to write you a concise comic, so I wrote this wordy one instead.

Sweet! You did it last year and you can do it again!
“I sit quietly in a dark room and wait until I’m needed.”
So basically, you’re Batman. And I don’t think Batman has an iPod either. More proof!
“Is facebook stealing our inner lives?”
You answered your own question.
Thanks for comics, Gabrielle.
Anaheim? Were you at the American library association convention? I would have skipped a meeting to get an autographed copy of the new book. :)
That first panel I can identify with completely–in fact, it’s why I’ve decided to give up on straight fiction after I finish P&M #2. But, see the fact that you always think to write those criticisms about your writing down on paper, in your strips is what makes you so good at diary/autobio/straight fiction. Great strip!
Hooray! And no matter what the internet tells you, we invented zombie survival team picking over Indian food… right up here… in our little brains. I love this comic, and can’t wait to see more!
