July Diary (day one)
July 1, 2013
Here it is, the third year of my July Diary, started on a whim, continuing on a compulsion. One comic every day for the next month. This isn’t a stunt. It’s an attempt to align a desperate need for solitude with an exhibitionist nature.
This summer I’m dispatching reports from an undisclosed country setting in upstate New York. To fund this ridiculous project I’m going to offer the original pages for sale each day as I post them for one hundred dollars each, plus shipping and handling. I hope some of you would like to buy at least some of them.

The flowers are the plant’s genitals.
I want to tell you how funny and thoughtful and poignant your comics are, and this is a perfect example of what I mean.
I darted over to the ‘art for sale’ tab as soon as I read this but it was already sold! Just as well, I just finished school and am kind of broke and unemployed, but I hope to get it together soon so I can give you my money.
Anyway, this is amazing.
Well, I read this with mixed feelings. On the one hand: a daily comic by you for thirty days is spectacular news! On the other hand, though your artwork is worth more than you ask for it, it is still out of my price range. Plus, even if it were in my range, I’d wait till you’d completed the month, so I can select which out of the thirty pages to get.
By the way, what is happening with the Siberia comic?
