Magic Mountain
Hey, guess what, I’m going to Lucerne, Switzerland this weekend. Me and Vanessa Davis are gonna hit up some Brockenhaus and maybe try some raclette. Also we will be guests of the greatest-of-all Fumetto International Comix Festival, where, along with Aisha Franz, Kati Rickenbach, Ulli Lust, Elisabeth Zwimpfer, Sharmila Banerjee, Claire Lenkova, and Caroline Sury, we will exhibit original artwork and other far-out installations to celebrate the new issue of Strapazin. We will also present funny slideshows and sell our comics, and I may or may not be doing some portraiture.
If there will be a scanner handy, I’ll do my best to post some comicy dispatches here. Otherwise I’ll try to save them up for when I get back. In the meantime, here is a thing:

Less quality but less quantity
Sometimes I find myself wishing The Comics Journal would ask me to write for their Cartoonist’s Diary. Then I realize they probably figure I’ve got my own thing going on, and I guess I do.
Please bear with me, I am starting over. I have to do this in order to get over my fear of doing something bad. And I have to do it publicly, because I have stacks of reams of bad, privately drawn diary comics and they’re not doing anything for me except making me more crazy. Here’s one of my less unpalatable ones. I will try to post some more somewhat regularly until I gather the wherewithall to create the fully colored, polished, carefully drawn stories (which hatched from these) you’ve come to expect here.
