How could anybody be mean to you, scratch or no scratch? Of course, I place absolutely no value on cars, so maybe that’s me. But if I’d have seen you in the hoodie and all, I’d be like “Nahh, she looks too considerate. I don’t think she did it.” Another great comic, with some fun (but I’m sure terrifying) action. Something about your comics always brings out the sympathetic side in me. I always feel like giving you a hug and pat on the back. Is that weird?
engrossing & honest strip, Gabrielle. Great facial expressions on the “you” character. Let’s imagine you had stopped and said, “prove it, asshole! Go ahead and call the cops.” I think in that scenario, if the police actually arrived, they would have laughed at the guy.
Someone did something very similar to my wife recently. We were told it’s an insurance scam – although how someone could claim from someone on a bike is a mystery to me. “Eeeeeeeeh”.
You know, as a Livery driver, he probably has a predisposition to hate anything else on the road, especially anything bicycle. Glad you didn’t let the guy waste an hour of your time with the cops.
PS. I had a girl come into my job a week or so ago like that girl you met on the plane. It was cool because she made everything seem cool and interesting and when she left it was all back to mundane and boring.
thanks so much everyone, for the encouragement and for rallying to my side about the incident. I’ve heard this happened to other people too, so it sounds like a scam. I can sleep again now.
wow, gabrielle. i’m glad you made it out of that one! you really knew how to build suspense w/ this one — the pace and timing was perfect; it went really well w/ the whole scroll-down format of the site. good stuff…

I love this. And you draw bikes beautifully.
Really liked. My favorite is the “I cant sleep since then” drawing.
LOVE THIS!!! One of my favorites. Especially the panel when you can’t sleep. I can’t wait to draw together again!
