Day five

April 8, 2012

Yes, I know Edelweiss is an Austrian song, not a Swiss one. Or at least I do now. I didn’t have internet out there in the wilds.

day three

April 7, 2012

Once again, I have to apologize for the crudity and wordiness and general heaviness of this comic. It felt like my hands were made of lead as I was drawing it. If I hadn’t promised I would, I wouldn’t be posting it.

Pictured here (roughly) are Aisha Franz, Anja Wicki, Ulli Lust, Dominique Goblet, Kati Rickenbach and her daughter Emma, Vanessa Davis, and Francois Olislaeger and Gabriela Jauregui.

day two

April 6, 2012

I’m very sorry for my crappy drawing/writing, especially to those of you beautiful people, like Ulli Lust, Aisha Franz, Vanessa Davis, Dominique Goblet, Sharmila Banerjee and Raymond Pettibon who I’ve rendered here so poorly. If I haven’t made it clear already, I have a no penciling/redrawing policy for this series. It’s because I get so obsessive. Though I do allow myself some minor photoshop manipulation.  Just so you know.

Swiss Dispatch (day one)

April 4, 2012

Hi, I’m back! Did anyone notice my absence?

I promised that if I had access to a scanner I’d post some diary comics, but luckily there was none, because I also lacked the wherewithal to write/draw anything worth scanning. But now that I’m back I’ll be piecing together my recollections which I’ll post here sort of daily until I’m done.

That is to say, if you don’t want to read about my awesome trip to Switzerland, I’d suggest you not read this blog for the next two weeks.

That is, of course, Vanessa Davis
